Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short and easy foothill excursion in the lower Annapurna region of Nepal. It is an ideal trek to experience a perfect journey and enjoy the Himalayan sceneries from the closer distance. The biological attractive features are amazing; walking through the rhododendron forest is breathtaking. It is bounded up by the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project).

Driving to Nayapul, the trek to Poon Hill begins. At first, the views of terraced hills and fields can be seen during the walk. Steep climb up to Ulleri is a tough walk and the trail inside the rhododendron forest begins. Ghorepani is located between the rhododendron forests. Poon Hill (3210m) is the best viewpoint of this area that includes the Himalayan chains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Again the trail is ups and down after leaving Ghorepani. Passing Tadapani, you trek down to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village that is guarded by the Himchuli and Fishtail.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is a quick glace to the Magar and Gurung ethnic villages. Ghorepani is a Magar village, but there are a few numbers of houses. Ghandruk is a comparatively large Gurung village among other tiny Gurung villages. The Gurung museum, folk culture, garments and other side of their lives are fabulous. This village is widely known as the village of Gurkhas.

Lovely Nepal Tours and Travels arrange Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with your preferable trek itinerary. No need to worry about acclimatization in this trek. (Note: Lovely Nepal Tours and Travels recommend a trip to the Chitwan National Park to enjoy the Jungle safari in Nepal.
